What does the Dutch Cookie Law exactly mean?
Websites must request permission from visitors for the placement of cookies. Cookies are small files that websites place on your computer during visits. The Cookie Act makes an exception for cookies that are not privacy-sensitive. For example, for cookies that track visitor numbers.
What are cookies?
A cookie is a small text file that stores a website on your computer or mobile device when you visit that site. For example, the website remembers the pages you have visited and your preferences (such as username, language, font size and other preferences) so that you do not have to fill them out every time you visit the site.
What do cookies do?
